This is an experiment
Go to any social gathering and inevitably you'll talk with a friend or new acquaintance about what you're doing now and what you plan on doing in the future. It's funny, everyone expects you to know all the answers up-front, ahead of time. They want you to say, "Yeah, this is what I'm doing and I'm 100% sure that I'm right about it and it's what I'll be doing forever."
The thing is, life doesn't work like that. We all have plans and ideas for our lives, but to say that we're 100% sure of anything and to expect that the life we're building today won't ever change is absurd. This whole thing is trial and error.
Before talking about what I do, what I've done, and what I'm going to do, I want to put a disclaimer out there first.
DISCLAIMER ON MY LIFE:
THIS IS AN EXPERIMENT. CONCLUSIONS ARE TBD AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY POINT IN THE FUTURE.
For me, life is about, as much as possible, trying new things, learning new things, discovering new things — about the world, about other people, and about myself. And if somewhere along the way I can take what I've learned and use it to make the world even slightly better, then I'm good. To me, that is the point.
