This morning, I looked out my window and saw that it was raining again. It's rained every day for the last 11 days, which is almost the entire time I've been in Rio. A guy who works in my office, an expat New Yorker whose lived here for 20 years, said he's never seen weather like this.
I'm trying to stay positive; there are many things to be happy about. But the the lack of sunshine really affects my mood. I haven't experienced this much rain since the winters I spent living in the Pacific Northwest.
I'm writing from my iPhone because, as I discovered this morning, my laptop will not turn on. This is concerning. Buying a new MacBook in Brazil is not something I want to do. My next move is to find an authorized Apple repair shop. Luckily there's one a few blocks away from my office.
